Turn Your Flashlight On

30 Jul

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Never Alone

11 Dec

Isaiah 7:14 (KJV) says “Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” In Hebrew Immanuel means El is with us. In English, we translate it as God with us. Which means, we are never alone. We know how important company or companionship is. God created Eve for Adam. Millions of people have pets. But how great is it that God is with us. It means that we are never alone!

In this Christmas season, ask Jesus to come into your life so you can celebrate the miracle of Christmas every day of your life!

Be happy and healthy in Jesus and remember He loves you!!!

I will Love You Unconditionally

10 Dec

I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples. John 15:5,8 KJV

I read this today and what it told me was that I can’t do anything without Jesus. I have read this verse and thought I need to be fruitful, I need to work harder in my career goals because my success will show I love God. But what it means is that, my life, and every aspect of it is affected by connection to the word of God, to the Living God, and to God’s precious Son Jesus Christ. This verse means that I must acknowledge God in every aspect of my life so my fruit, what I do, my actions, in every area of my life will be good, and pleasing to God. Acknowledging God in everything I do, in my relationships, in my choices, that is how I apply this verse, not just by trying to accomplish more in certain areas.

I am so grateful to understand more of what this verse means because it helps me understand more of what God wants, and it is a much needed reminder on how much Jesus and the Word of God should be present and Priority in my life. It shows me that Jesus and the Word of God are not just guidance, but my very life line. I can not accomplish anything without God. But with him, I can, I can do all things.

This scripture helped me, and I believe it will help you. Be Happy and Healthy in Jesus and know that Jesus Loves You!!

Happy Thoughts

6 Sep

The most comforting thing to me, to my heart, is the knowledge that Jesus loves me! I love knowing that! I love thinking that, at my lowest, it is a hug, and thought of warmth. At my highest, it is a beautiful reminder of how much One SO WORTHY loves me, how incredibly awesome is that!

John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (KJV)

I Belong To God!

12 Aug

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 KJV

This verse stands out to me so much because it answers the question “Whose am I” and shows the related question “What do I do”. As a saint of God, child of God, servant of God, I belong to Him. I was bought. Jesus paid the price for my sins by living a holy and blameless life, and dying on the cross. He laid down his life to purchase my pardon. My ability to live in an eternal Heaven, and to be reconnected to a Holy and Omnipotent God is made possible because of Jesus fulfilled the law, a task I could not do.

Jesus purchased my pardon and now I am bought. I no longer belong to me. It is now my reasonable service to present my body living sacrifice. It is my duty to live everyday in a way that pleases God. It is my duty to to live everyday in a way that God gets the Glory!

I find this verse as such an important reminder of who I am in God and what my life should be as a result. It is my hope that those reading it would as well.

Be Happy and Healthy in Jesus!! And remember you can cast your cares upon the Lord for He cares for you!!

Making Haste!

25 Jul

Psalms 119:6- (KJV) says “I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.’ I recently turned 26 and was made aware of short comings in my life, my attitude, and the way I was treating people. I had selfish, inconsiderate, and just living life conditionally. I was letting what I do be dictated by how I felt. I do not want to this. I will not do this. I will live so that I can sincerely say that I made haste to do God’s commandments and did not delay!

Not delaying, not procrastinating to do what God says, to be obedient, will affect every area of my life for the better.

Are You Happy?

30 May

I’ve been asked this questions a few times lately and I think each time I answer yes. Shortly after I hang up the phone I cry a little. I cry because I don’t want my life, my actions, my speech reflect unhappiness or discontent. God is so good and so merciful, I don’t feel I have a right to be unhappy. I am heavy hearted at times because of sickness be it my own or others, but even that, I believe God has in control, so my prayer is that I endure well, that I walk worthy of my vocation, and that people see Jesus and joy in my life.

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him. Psalm 28:7 KJV
